SEPTEMBER - LOOKING FORWARD TO :
POSSIBLE 2022 COMMONWEALTH GAMES MEDALISTS AT CLARENCE BOWLING CLUB
Eight of England’s top visually impaired (VI) bowlers, from as far afield as Scarborough and Cornwall, along with their directors and Disability Bowls England officials came together at Clarence Bowling Club last Saturday (19th September) to begin the selection process to decide the final B2/B3 Mixed Pair to compete in the V.I. category at the next Commonwealth Games lawn bowls event at Royal Leamington Spa in July 2022.
The pair to be eventually selected by Bowls England, following further training camps and trials, will be carrying England’s hopes of a medal.
All present enjoyed a great day’s bowling and were truly appreciative of the hosts club’s hospitality and organization to ensure a Covid-secure event in these unprecedented times.
